What happens to the festival if there is bad weather?
BFA @ The Beach is a rain-or-shine event, and festival activities will generally continue during periods of light or moderate rain where it is safe to do so. Covered areas and tentage will be provided in selected locations to offer shelter from the elements for our guests, exhibitors and participating vendors. However, as an outdoor beach festival, operations may be affected by severe or unpredictable weather conditions.
The safety of our attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, performers, volunteers, contractors, and staff remains our highest priority. In the event of severe weather conditions, including dangerous lightning activity, strong winds, heavy rainfall, or other circumstances that may present a risk to public safety, the Organiser may temporarily suspend, modify, delay, relocate, or cancel certain activities, performances, or festival operations.
Where advisories from the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS), lighting detection systems, venue operators, emergency services, or relevant authorities indicate potentially dangerous lightning conditions, the Organiser may suspend festival activities and direct all participants to evacuate designated areas via the nearest available exits to identified shelter locations or assembly points.
Depending on the circumstances, designated shelter or assembly locations may include the Beach Station Car Park, rooftop of Palawan Kidz City, Angsana 1, or such other locations as may be determined by the Organiser, venue management, or the emergency services. Evacuation routes and assembly points will be communicated by festival staff and may vary depending on the nature and location of the incident.
All attendees are required to comply promptly with instructions issued by festival staff, security personnel, emergency responders, venue management, or authorised representatives. Please do not return to the festival grounds until an official announcement confirms that it is safe to do so.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
